Jonghyun expresses confidence in his rank amongst the top idol vocalists
SHINee’s Jonghyun showed much confidence in his place amongst the best idol vocalists.
On Sunday’s episode of “Jung Jae Hyung and Lee Hyori’s You & I,” SHINee appeared and talked honestly about the questions that were posed to them.
When complimented on his being one of the top idol vocalists, he said, “How can you rank people in singing?” and showed his more humble side. The others that were picked by experts include Hyorin, IU and 2AM’s Changmin.
When Hyori asked him where he thinks he places amongst them, he says, “For dance songs, I think I’m #1,” and the audience reacted to his incredible confidence.
During the episode, SHINee performed their hits, “Replay,” “Ring Ding Dong,” and “Lucifer.” They also previewed the Korean version of their Japanese hit “Seesaw.”

S.M.ART Exhibition concludes its run in Seoul, to continue on next year in a world tour fashion
SM Entertainment‘s ‘S.M.ART Exhibition‘ has been brought to a successful conclusion with high praises!
Running from August 10th to the 19th at the Coex in Seoul, the exhibition brought in 15,000 international fans alone in a show of technological advancement and digital power. The exhibiton attracted much attention as the first of its kind to combine elements from both the entertainment and IT industry. SM Entertainment collaborated with a number of global companies to create new content specifically for the event.
A total of 30,000 attended the exhibition, with international fans amounting to 50% of it and truly demonstrating SM’s role as a global brand. Living up to its name, the exhibition featured many sights to see like stars displayed on panorama screens made to appear right before the eyes of fans along with 3D and holographic videos to make the experience truly magical.
A tree-style screen standing at a height of 13 m also featured special opportunities for fans to make video calls with their favorite stars, as well as other interactive displays where fans were able to dance alongside stars in a video display.
Gabbie Pincutter from San Francisco stated, “I fell in love with how realistic SHINee‘s hologram videos were, as if they were right before my eyes. There were a lot of interactive contents where you could actually experience everything for yourself instead of just watch. I don’t know where the time went with all of the fun I was having.”
Lisa Deerman from Germany added, “I visited the exhibition for the second time to see it one last time before I returned to Germany. My favorite was the 3D theater hall and the Genie video show. Should they open the exhibition in Germany, I’d love to experience it all again.”
The exhibition concluded with a special arts feature in collaboration with Gana Art where up and coming artists could submit art work using the artists of SM as their inspiration. Girls’ Generation‘s Yuri specially announced the awards on the 19th.
The exhibition will continue on next year in a world tour fashion starting with Taipei, Taiwan in April.
